Exploring Potential Leads, and Why do I Post Here Again?
So, the Koliplo lead is bust. I contacted the OP of that thread I mentioned in my last post, and he said he never heard from them. Shit.
However, this has sparked an idea: buy old iPods off of eBay, hope the data is still intact, extract it, and see if anybody had the episodes.
This is a completely stupid idea that would not yield much, if anything. Not only that, it’d be ludicrously expensive. I’d have to buy 20 or more of them just to consider the hunt worth it, even if I get no results. Thing is, I’m a dumbass, and I’m totally willing to do this.
I guess, if anybody’s here and has a broken iPod they think might have the data on it, use that “contact me” form.
Also, I made a “where we are” page to put links to places I’ve uploaded the episodes to. Think of it as a glossary of backups. Of course, I’m keeping the episodes safe on 3 different drives, one of which is a flash drive that doesn’t see any use. So the episodes I have now are forever safe. Oh yeah, SoundCloud isn’t working because I need to pay them in order to upload more. Gonna have to find an alternative, or pay more money into this project. Right now, if what I’m seeing is correct, Episode 1 is the only one visible on SoundCloud.
If you’re wondering why I post here like someone’s reading, so do I. In all seriousness, it’s to keep the website feeling natural. I realize I don’t have much, if any, of an audience here. I guess I don’t really need one. What I’m doing here is purely a passion project, and I’m okay with that. I love ARR, and if someone else does too, then hey; here we are.
Wait, I thought this wasn’t a personal blog?
